Caring for Your Flowers
Fresh flowers are meant to be enjoyed. With just a little care, your arrangement can stay beautiful longer and continue opening day by day.
-
Keep them cool
- Place your flowers in a cool spot away from direct sunlight, heaters, and warm lamps. Cooler spaces help blooms last longer.
-
Refresh the water regularly
- Check the water level daily and top up as needed. Replace the water completely every 2–3 days to keep your flowers happy and hydrated.
- Give stems a fresh trim
Each time you change the water:
-
- Hold the stems together like a bouquet
- Empty and rinse the vase
- Refill with fresh cool water
- Trim about ½–1 inch from the bottom of the stems at an angle
This helps flowers drink more easily and stay fresh longer.
-
Return flowers to water quickly
- After trimming, place stems back into water right away to keep them fully hydrated.
-
Remove fading blooms as needed
- As individual flowers naturally fade, removing them helps the rest of the arrangement continue to thrive and keeps everything looking fresh.
-
A simple tip from our designers
- Keeping leaves out of the water and using a clean vase makes a noticeable difference in how long your flowers last.
-
Add water daily
- Pour fresh water slowly into the center of arrangement (if your arrangement has flower foam pour water over slowly until foam feels saturated)
-
Refresh as blooms fade
- Removing individual flowers as they finish their bloom cycle keeps the arrangement looking its best.
